How to get
Sultanahmet is a historic neighborhood located in the heart of Istanbul, Turkey that was once the center of the Byzantine and Ottoman empires. It boasts some of Istanbul's most famous landmarks and tourist attractions.
Sultanahmet is located in the historic peninsula of Istanbul, so it's easily accessible by public transportation. The nearest airport is Istanbul Airport, and from there you can take a taxi or use the metro and tram system to get to Sultanahmet. Alternatively, you can take a taxi directly from the airport, but this option can be more expensive.
The best time to visit Sultanahmet is during the spring (April to May) or fall (September to November). During these months, the weather is mild and comfortable for exploring the city's outdoor attractions. However, you should also expect crowds during peak travel season, which is from June to August.
If you want to avoid the crowds and enjoy a quieter experience, consider visiting Sultanahmet during the winter months (December to February). While the weather may be cooler, you'll have the opportunity to see the city's famous landmarks without the crowds and at a lower price point.
